STOMACH CANCER, SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT
Stomach cancer is also called as ‘Gastric Cancer or Gastric Carcinoma’. It is a treatable disease, if found at an early stage. Usually, cancer occurs when the cells in the body starts growing uncontrollably. Each cancer has its unique way of behavior, which differs from other, i.e. it grows at different level, and responds at different levels.
Stomach has five layers. When you start from the inside and working a way out, the innermost layer is called as mucosa. In mucosa layer, stomach acid and digestive juices are made. The next two layers are the subserosa and the seosa. They act like a wrapping for the stomach. The seosa is the outer most layer of the stomach.
Majority of the stomach cancers starts in the mucosa. Here, cancer can grow deeper and can infect the other layer too. As the cancer grows deeper the hope for the treatment of cancer, also gets worsen. The most common form of cancer, which affects the stomach, is ‘Adenocarcinoma.’ This stomach cancer occurs in the inner most layer of the stomach. Stomach cancer can develop in any part of the stomach and spreads all over the stomach and to the other body organs too.

1. Difficulty in swallowing the food
2. Pain in the area of stomach

Radiotherapy: Radiotherapy uses a radiation to destroy the cancer cells. A beam of radiation is been targeted on the cancer cells. Generally, this therapy is not used to treat the stomach cancer but in some cases, it can be used with the conjunction of chemotherapy.
